I call it my "Brain"
I have a planner and I call it my "Brain".
If I don't have my "Brain" nothing gets done. I start my morning with my "Brain" scheduling my day. I actually schedule "scheduling time". I know it sounds extreme. I implore you to understand that I am extremely ADD. I need the structure to direct me.
Every morning, I tear off a piece of the lined yellow notebook paper. You know the kind that every boss in the world carries around so that you think he knows what he is talking about because it is written down on that stupid pad. I scribble down every last thing I would love to get done that particular day. It is kind of like a free thinking wish list.
The next step to this rather arduous planning process is to go over the list and pick out the things I absolutely have to get done today. I call this My Of Great Consequence List. These are the tasks that if not completed someone is going to a; starve, b; die, or c; fire me if I don't get them done. They include feeding and watering the animals and Hunky Hubby, taking my medicine, and going to work. Those things get written down in my planner "Brain" in order of importance.
Once at work, I do the whole process again. This time I do the free thinking with work tasks.
I always try to pick at least one thing that I want to do. Something just for me. Sometimes it has to be something minor because my have too's are too many. It might be running by McDonalds for an Iced Caramel Mocha. Hey, If Momma ain't happy. ain't nobody happy!
Weekends at Anna Pearl's Attic are NO PLANNING ZONES! This means that we drift with the wind, having no particular direction in mind. It does seem that we drift in the way that Hunky Hubby directs, though. This phenomenon occurs when my "Brain" gets tired from all the planning it has to do. It's called "Brain" overload.

The Impossible Has Been Achieved! *Almost*
For thirty-some years, this farmgirl has been striving to achieve a dream. I would like to have a well stocked, organized refrigerator storage dish cupboard. Up to this point, this has not been a feasible dream. There are many reasons why there is always a shortage of storage dishes in our home. Most of them I can blame on Hunky Hubby or my rotten children. However, said rotten children have flown the coop and Hunky Hubby should not have to take the considerable weight of this issue on his rather attractive shoulders alone. Therefore, I must confess that I am part of the problem.
Following is the Top Ten list of why we do not have adequate refrigerator storage containers in our home.
10. Hunky Hubby takes them to work and they never return.
9. Anna Pearl takes them to work and they never return.
8. Hunky Hubby puts two tablespoons of leftovers in them and puts them in the freezer.
7. Anna Pearl leaves them in refrigerator until the mold grows so thick that it scars the plastic.
6. Hunky Hubby takes frozen leftovers to dogs (No one will eat them) and leaves them outside.
5. Anna Pearl feeds the dogs in them, because she is too lazy to look for their dishes.
4. Baby and Cooper (the dogs) eat their food and then eat the dishes.
3. Anna Pearl waters the cat in them and then forgets to bring them in. Repeat - Dogs eat them.
2. The wyoming winds blows them away!
1. The number one reason there is an inadequate supply of refrigerator storage dishes is........Anna Pearls is disorganized!
Well no more, my friends! With the help of my son and his fiance, I have a more than adequate supply of dishes. (Fabulous Christmas Present!) I have organized the cupboard, placing each lid on the corresponding dish. I have arranged the dishes according to size and shape. Below is the result:

I understand that many may feel this is not an adequate supply. Please take into consideration that there are many more unseen dishes. (Remember, the freezer and the moldy fridge?)
This dream has been a long time coming to fruitation. However, I beleive that it will not take very long to come undone. This is the reason for this post today. Tomorrow, the beautiful stocked and organized refrigerator storage dishes on the Tiny Taylor Ranch will probably be in disarray and we would have missed the opportunity to share it with you. Aren't you glad I am on top of things around here?

Suddenly Dirty
The Christmas morning fire had not even dimmed when I realized that my house had become "DIRTY" over night. I mean, literally over night.
Christmas Eve was spent at the ranch with family. I spent all day baking two roasts for the French Dip Sandwiches we were having for dinner that night. When it started snowing hard in the mid-afternoon, we decided to leave early for the 45 minutes drive over the notoriously bad "Sisters" in Southwest Wyoming.
When we left the house was not dirty.
When we returned, we were sleepy eyed and stuffed from too much dinner and goodies. The time spent with our family was irreplaceable. Even, though the roads were horrible and our nerves were shot, we were happy to be home to our little log cabin.
Even then, the house was not dirty.
Upon rising from our warm bed on Christmas Day, our house was not dirty. We dressed in our robes and tottered to the living room to open the presents under the tree. We laughed and had a great time, watching each other discover what the others had picked out for them. The dog was snuggled on my lap and all was well. There was wrapping paper scattered over the floor. Boxes, bows, and gifts were everywhere. When we completed the unwrapping process, each person had his/her own pile of treasures to cart off to their room.
As we finished the clean-up, I noticed a cobweb hanging down from the ceiling to the horn of the bison skull on the wall. (It's a log cabin, okay?) As I reached up to pull it down, I suddenly realized that ..................
MY HOUSE IS REALLY DIRTY!!!!
This realization usually doesn't hit me until after New Year's Day. The cleaning/organizita side of my personality usually waits until I have all the Christmas decorations stowed to rear its ominous head. This year, it came early. I noticed every cobweb. Suddenly, there were marks on the walls and floors. It became clear that the blinds needed to be cleaned. Light fixtures suddenly filled with dead flies and spots appeared on the windows. Dirty spots in the carpet jumped out and screamed at me, like a banshee screams in a graveyard.
ARRRRGGGGHH! I am in big trouble.......my house is dirty! Soon, there will be a parade of brooms, mops, sponges, rags, and spray bottles making its way through our little abode.
Okay, maybe my family are the people who are in trouble. Let's face it people!!!
MY HOUSE IS DIRTY!!!!! Hehehe....not for long!
